Red Cabbage with Cranberry Sauce with Orange & Spices

 

 

    

Ingredients:

  • 1 small red cabbage, coarsely chopped
  • 200g (8 oz) Roots & Wings Organic Cranberry Sauce with Orange & Spices
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 50 ml (2 fl oz) cider vinegar
  • 50 ml (2 fl oz) sweet vermouth or white wine, optional
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 150C/300F/Gas 2.
Combine all ingredients and place in a casserole. Cover and cook for 2 – 21/2 hours stirring once or twice during the cooking. When the cabbage is tender the dish is ready.
